60’s PROJECT _____________________________________________________________________

Nelson played the role of “Donna” in the workshop of The 60’s Project at 42nd Street Studios. The show, directed by Richard Maltby and written by Janet Maltby, tells it’s story through popular 1960’s music as a group of young people come of age in the turbulent decade.

THE A-TRAIN MUSICALS ________________________________________________________________________

Sarah Jane performed in the 1st Installment of The A-Train Musicals at the Neighborhood Playhouse in NYC. One reviewer called it, “theatrical skydiving.” Here’s how this fascinating project works: Five writers get on the A-Train at 207th Street and write five individual one-act plays in the amount of time it takes to get to Far Rockaway . At the end of the line, the composers/lyricists get on, and they all work as they travel back to 207th Street. There, they meet the directors, and the teams ride the train while re-writing their scripts. When they arrive at 59th Street/Columbus Circle station, the writers, directors, and composer/lyricists meet the actors who will copy the hand written scripts, rehearse, and on the next evening perform the material -- off book. It’s a truly incredible project.
